Yes, Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate can be used alone or layered with your favorite leave-on treatments and styling products, including all Living Proof products. If you are layering with other styling products, start with ½ a pump of Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate and add sparingly if you desire more. We highly recommend that you do not layer Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate with products that contain silicone to avoid heaviness, greasiness and residue.

Yes, if desired you can use any out of the shower treatment products before Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate for added conditioning and detangling. We recommend that you adjust the amount of your leave-in conditioner and Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate to use slightly less, as our formula is very concentrated. Apply your leave in treatment followed by Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate.

Yes, we recommend that you start with less Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate if you are going to layer it with other products. Spread ½ a pump in hands and apply to clean, damp sectioned hair avoiding roots. Comb through. Add other desired styling products. Blow dry.

Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate is best when used on damp hair. Spread two pumps in hands and apply to clean, damp sectioned hair avoiding roots. Blowout hair with a flat or round bristle brush, (ideally a boar bristle). We do not recommending using Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate on dry hair.

Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate should be used when heat styling hair. We recommend blow drying in sections for the smoothest style; not air-drying.

We do not recommend this product when air drying you hair.

Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate can be used on oily hair, although if you naturally have very oily hair we recommend other smoothing forms over Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate. If you desire a serum, Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate is the best option for hair that tends to be oily because it is free of oils and silicones. If you have naturally oily hair start with ½ pump and apply mid-shaft to ends.

To get a smooth, soft, shiny blowout:

• Start with our Restore Shampoo and Conditioner to improve strength, shine and sleekness 
• Spread one to two pumps of Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate in your hands and apply to sectioned damp hair – avoiding roots. 
• For best blowout results, use a bristle brush, (ideally a boar bristle), work with sections that are no bigger than your brush, and position the nozzle of your hair dryer to direct the airflow toward the brush.  This technique will help to create tension for smoothing and produce shinier results. 
• If you have really dense hair, apply a little more Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate as needed to each section as you style it.

If you have thick hair with a strong S to Z type pattern, we recommend that you:

• Start with a leave on conditioner and apply it to your whole head of hair
• Section your hair and apply ½ to one pump of Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate to each section – avoiding roots. 
• For best blowout results, use a bristle brush, (ideally a boar bristle), work with sections that are no bigger than your brush, and position the nozzle of your hair dryer to direct the airflow toward the brush.  This technique will help to create tension for smoothing and produce shinier results. 

If you have low density hair with a strong S to Z type pattern, we recommend that you:

• If needed start with a lightweight leave on conditioner and apply it to your whole head of hair
• Section hair in half, temple to temple and apply 1 pump of Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate to the bottom half of your sectioned hair, then let down the top section, and apply 1 pump of Restore Smooth Blowout Concentrate to the top section of your hair – avoiding roots.
• For best blowout results, use a bristle brush, (ideally a boar bristle), work with sections that are no bigger than your brush, and position the nozzle of your hair dryer to direct the airflow toward the brush.  This technique will help to create tension for smoothing and produce shinier results.
